Beyond Leather was an amazing event and I had a wonderful time. The event was wonderful, the hotel beautiful and the people were sweet and fun. I don’t even know where to start. I’m already planning on going in 2010.
I left on Monday for Seattle to make the trip a bit easier, relaxed by the pool, lounged around the hotel and got plenty of rest before catching an early morning flight to Orlando. Because of the time difference, by the time I traveled and landed I was greeted at the airport by Sir D and some of his friends. The evening was great, hanging out with a bunch of sweet and kinky people. We had a blast at dinner and hanging out afterwards.
Wednesday was reserved for Disney Magic Kingdom which was fun. We walked around the park numerous times and tried out the different rides. Disney is definitely for kids but it was nice to go back and go on the classic Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain Railroad and even Buzz Lightyear ride. It was a fun and exhausting day and after a frozen lemonade drink, I was ready to pass out.
In the morning we headed out to Fort Lauderdale for checking in and getting settled in the host hotel. The hotel was upscale, when I entered I was greeted to an oasis inside completed with a glass roof, trees and even a bit of water with turtles in it. The rooms were spacious with a separate living room area (pull out couch), small desk/dining, microwave and a mini fridge. It was a nice area to relax in and entertain. The bedroom was separated by a door which is perfect you were sharing a room. The bed was soft, comfortable and oh so lovely and complete with a make up table, dressers and another flat screen.
I could go on and on but I want to start writing about all the fun the conference was. Stay tuned.
