When I woke up Sunday morning, I was sad but also excited. I wanted the conference to continue longer, I was having a great time and getting sick but a damper into things. However, I was going to make the most of the day.

After breakfast, I headed to the final workshops of the day which one of them was Graydancer’s, The Prisoner’s Dilemma. Graydancer is a wonderful presenter and the workshop was hot and informative. I was able to even help strip down the demo bottom and help capture her when she escaped. I talked with this later with Graydancer, but I would love to have him come to Vancouver and do an un-conference here. He has a great energy to him and his knowledge would be a welcome to our community.

After his workshop, I caught a bit of the breath play workshop by Master Kondrad before hanging around the hotel and headed to the pool party. Sitting by the pool, having lunch and talking with some sweet people was a perfect cool down to the weekend. After having enough sun, I headed out and ran into one of the organizers for the South Florida TNG group. We were talking during the weekend and was even planning to have a scene on Saturday (before I got sick). He was hosting a workshop about breast bondage by Graydancer in the evening with some play time afterwards and invited me to join.

It was a fun workshop and I was able to volunteer to demonstrate a breast harness on. People who know me know how turned on by being tied and watching other tied, hence to say it was a pleasurable workshop. After the workshop, I had the chance to play and had a fun scene involving canes, rope and clover clamps. Thank you for the scene D, I decided to be discreet about our play session and I forgot to ask if I could write about it. Guess you had to be there

A quick recap from the weekend, I meant so many wonderful people at Beyond Leather. Going there as available, I was a bit worried about meeting new people. Even though I went down with a friend, I love being social and everyone was really welcoming, nice and I had a wonderful time. I would love to be able to spend more time in the community down there but unfortunately it’s in the South Eastern portion of the USA and I’m on the west coast of Canada. The workshops, hotel and parties were filled of fun and I’m planning to go back next year. Hopefully this time, I can recruit some of my friends to go. Anybody interested?

Friday morning was relax with some time spent sleeping in and hanging out with some new acquaintances. I got a pre-tour of the dungeon on Thursday and was all excited for the workshops and play to begin.

Friday classes started out with Lqqkout class -Finding your style I know I put it here somewhere. I have to be honest that I don’t remember much of the class besides the images, jute rope and a great presenter. I was luckily enough to volunteer for a quick demo of one of the different techniques of a soft and sensual tie.

I wish I knew the name of the tie but my hands were tied in front of me with the rope going around my back.  It’s the way he tied that made the difference with running the rope gently around and creating a sense of intimacy. I was a tad nervous but it was hot and before I knew it, I was getting all giddy. It was my first time experience jute (why did I wait so long) and I fell in love with the feeling and am going to be buying some for myself.  Thanks Lqqkout for the intro to jute (and a must to have item), being able to stay in it during the workshop and an informative and fun workshop.

Artemis Hunter presented next in a class titled Predicament Bondage. It was a really fun class and I volunteered for a wide variety of predicaments. I tried to give others a chance to participate but others were being shy and who can say no to a presenter with such charisma and draw.  My favourite predicament was the nipple tug game which two of us had nipple clamps attached (I took the clover clamps) with one leg up each and ankle ropes running to the other volunteer nipples and vice versa. Many more predicaments were explained but you’ll have to attend her workshop. A couple of them are ones that I don’t want someone to find out about and I’m still hiding the sheet. We’ve planned an interrogation scene around the whole thing.

The last workshop of the day that I went to was Branding presented by Mark Frazier (I couldn’t find his web site). It was interesting and we were able to see a partial cold branding made with dry ice. Unfortunately the dry ice was a bit old but it was interesting and intriguing. I’ve always wanted to learn more about branding and one of my favourite things was watching the demo bottom reaction.

After all the workshops was dinner, where I was joined with some great company for dinner then freshen up for the Opening Ceremonies. The Ceremonies started off with a big bang with a entertaining performance. Awards, introductions and thanks were paid. Then we were all dismissed for the Dungeons and Theaters.

I missed the Pony theater unfortunately but checked out various scenes in the dungeon. Some very hot scenes were going on including a breath play scene that stole my attention for a good portion of the evening before heading off to the rope theater. The rope theater, which was titled, “Nawa Nights Return”. Artemis Hungeon, Leon Grossman, Lqqkout, Graydancer, Cherry Torn and I’m sure I’m forgetting others put on a capturing show involving a range of rope performance self-suspension, intense suspension, take downs and more. It left me all wet, horny and wanting rope on me. It was a great opportunity to see a show like this and added to the joy of the weekend.

After the show there was more socializing and a bit of time in the dungeon before I retired for the night and headed to bed.

Am I excited, yes. It usual doesn’t happen until I’m on the way though. There is the excitement before however the day to day life demands that make life hectic, tend to take away from it. I started writing this on the bus down but wasn’t able to post

There is something about going to a BDSM conference that is a wonderful experience. A whole weekend full of workshops, play parties, meeting new and friendly people and in this case, even some sun.

If money was unlimited, I would be going to conferences however since it is a factor and other things need to be paid, I do have to limit. Sometimes I travel for “work” but usually the guidelines are pretty clear and I have a ton of personal time with a couple of private scenes planned. A couple of years ago, I was able to do this a lot more often when I was pro subbing full-time however since I decided to pursue other interest, I only do it on a very limited and exclusive basis.

I miss that part though, I love travelling BDSM events. It gives you an experience that lets you get outside your own community and expand your knowledge and play. If you are able to, I encourage it. You will come away with a fresh mind and new experiences.

Anyways, Beyond Leather is starting tomorrow and I’m giddy. Looking forward to sharing part of my experience with it.
