I have to admit this, I don’t use lube that often. I’m always packing it when I go away and I have plenty in my closet and bedside but when it comes time to be intimate, I tend to get lost in the moment. I’ve been trying to be better as I do enjoy the extra slickness that it brings and it makes jumping into a solo session more enjoyable. It also necessary when you are using condoms, gloves and dams. I’m jumping back into the poly dating world again so lube will be more important in my future. I find with someone I’m fluid bonded with, I tend not to use it often.

Intimate Organics

The reason why I wanted to try an Intimate Organics product is the use of natural ingredients and what it didn’t have. I wasn’t sure if it would stand up to other lubes but it has and I like being able to quickly google the ingredients that I didn’t know. (Aqua, Propylene glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Methylisothiazolinone, Phenethyl alcohol, PPG-2-Methyl ether, Water, Alcohol, Certified organic goji berry fruit extract, Certified organic lemon grass leaf/stem extract, Certified organic aloe leaf extract) The scary sounding ingredients have been tested and used in others soaps and cosmetic products for years. It doesn’t contain any glycerine, parabens, DEA or animal products, a vegan lube. I stay away from glycerine in my lube as it can cause yeast infections and makes the products stickier. Lately, I’ve been trying to stay away from parabens as they can cause irritations and other health issues.

None of these ingredients will matter if you don’t like it or it doesn’t perform up to your standards. Luckily for me, it does pretty well.  It’s not perfect but I like it. I found the Hydra on the thinner side, I personally prefer something thicker for anal but for non-anal uses it wasn’t an issue. I liked the fact that it wasn’t runny when you put it on your toys and that it generally stays put.  It mixed well with my own fluids and I didn’t get that sticky feeling that I hate with other lubes. It felt natural and smooth, it would of been difficult to tell that it was lube and that I wasn’t soaking wet. The taste and smell wasn’t to my liking though, it  is difficult to describe but it was a medical/flower type smell. I wouldn’t use it if I planned on going down on someone immediately but for toy, vaginal and anal penetration, I like it.

Intimate Organics Hydra is a water based lube which means it’s safe to use with any of your toys and safe sex supplies. Feel free to grab your silicone dildo, your fingers, a cock etc. and have some fun.  I would recommend trying out Intimate Organics Hydra compared to any lubes that have glycerine or any other parabens in it. Overall, I would give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Review: Tor

Unfortuantely, I couldn't mind a human model on short notice

The Lelo Tor was a fun toy to use and as PG would say, “turned my cock into a vibrator”.  The Tor is  the newer designed cock ring from Lelo that is multi-speed and re-chargeable. If you have a Leo Bo, it’s the upgraded version. PG and I really enjoyed using the Tor and it has become our favourite cock ring.

The Tor can be used on a variety of sizes of penises or dildos, the ring is fairly stretchy and can accommodate whether you are placing it behind the scrotum or above. We only tried it above as that is PG preferences however it worked well for us. We both enjoyed the vibrating settings. It is a nice treat that we don’t always get to experience. PG mentions that you can feel the vibration through the length of your penis which was a new but welcomed sensation. The thing that we really liked about it, is it allowed both of us to experience it at the same time.

The Tor has a variety of settings including a continuous vibration with different intensities. Once you reach the maximum you start to cycle between the other patterns which vary in pulse. There are two buttons, one on each side that control the speed. It can be a bit difficult to adjust as it is either pressed right against you partner or right against your scrotum.

The Tor comes apart for easy cleaning, simply slid the hard plastic vibration part off the TPE ring. To clean, Lelo recommends washing with warm water and antibacterial soap and pat dry. Be careful when cleaning as you don’t want to get water in the socket. Charging is easy, you put the pieces of the Tor in the carrying case and plug the charger in. In case you lost the charger, any Lelo charge will work. It takes about a two hours to charge and lasts two hours but it’s only recommend for use less then 1 hour.

I’ve used the Tor on dildos and enjoyed it, it’s not as powerful as a bio cock but it still adds to it. We don’t use the Tor everytime we have sex as we do enjoy sex without it, it’s our occasional treat.

Review: Shunga Massage Candle – Exotic Fruit

Extended touching is always a great way to connect – or reconnect – with a partner.  The Shunga Massage Candle provides an excellent excuse (like you needed one) to engage in extended touch. Most of the wax play that I’ve experienced is hot wax dripping on me during a scene and taken off with a blade of a knife. Massage candles are completely different but it’s a lovely change. I received a Shunga Massage Candle from PinkCherry.ca and was planning on testing it out next week but a minor injury led PG and I use it earlier.

The candle comes packaged in a black tin with Shunga art in rich colours. The tin easily opens and upon open it you are hit with a strong, sweet fruity smell. I found it a bit overwhelming but pleasant.  The candle is made from soybean oil,  coco nucifera oil, fragrances and other oils. Using the candle is simple, make sure to keep the wick trimmed, light it and wait for it to melt (20 minutes or longer) and then have fun. When you are ready to use it, blow out the candle and apply it to the skin. There are various ways that you can apply it. Shunga include a little white spoon that can be used, you can pour it on your hands and then massage into the receiver skin or pour it directly onto them.

After one use

The wax is a bit thicker then other candles that I’ve tried and greasy but it doesn’t get in the way of an enjoyable massage. After having it massaged in my skin, it was slick and smooth. The residue that is left on your skin won’t stain your sheets and it came off easily if you applied too much. It is a bit waxy but I found , with my skin, if you use the candle when it’s a liquid and rub it in well it’s hardly an issue.

Njoy Pure Plug

I’m in love with Njoy products, I own the Eleven and now I have the large Pure Plug. I’ve been lusting after this toy for a while.

The Njoy toys are a work of art made out of stainless steel. They are solid, smooth, lovely weight to them and sleek. The Njoy Pure Plug that I received was the large size. It’s 1.5″ in diameter,  length of 3.5″ with 2.5″ being insertable. The weight comes in at 1lb. They come in two smaller sizes, medium and small and a bigger 2.0 size.  I found the large to be just right for me but I do want to test out the 2.0 in the future. It’s just plain sexy.

The top of the plug is large and has an oval teardrop shape, it leads down to a stem and then the handle. The handle looks similar to a bottle opener. It’s all seamless and well designed. The flared handle makes the Pure Plug anal safe.  The packing (which I rarely keep) is a black box with pink satin fabric which it sits into.

A major factor that made me enjoy this toy is the fact that it is stainless steel. I only needed a tiny bit of lube and with a smooth surface it was easy to insert. I personally wouldn’t use this as my first butt plug but after a bit of experience with a smaller one or a smaller Njoy, the large Njoy is a great step up. The Njoy goes in easily, comfortable to wear and best of all is that I could wear it for an extended period. You can feel it inside you but it wasn’t uncomfortable. The handle nestles  in between your butt cheeks and it didn’t hurt when I would sit down. I have used it by myself around the house and out running errands, it has been great to use before dates or when I would masturbate. I’m not sure how it feels against a prostate but this is my favourite butt plu. Another plus is that I can use any lube that is handy without worry about it being ruined.

Stainless steel is easy to clean, you can use soap and water to clean or to sanitize boil,  place in the dishwasher or use a bleach and water solution. The Njoy will last and you can share it with friends by cleaning it properly or putting a condom on it.

Review: G-Pop Red

The G-pop red is marketed as a G-spot toy but I found that it works better for BDSM purposes, I’ve played with it with a couple of people and they seem to love hitting with it. If you are a fan of deep, thuddy sensations then this toy is a must.

The G-pop comes in multiple colours and sizes including stainless steel, black, pink, red and more.  It reminds me of a lollipop which we ended up nicknaming it.

Here is what PG thought, ” Blue balls bad; red ball good. This is a work of art you can play with. It’s a beautifully smoothly finished sphere, with a metallic red (anodized?) finish.

I wailed on Alpine full force for an extended period with this baby (being VERY careful not to hit anywhere flesh was shallow over bone – you could easily chip a tailbone, given its heft.) It produced a deep tissue massage effect and satisfied sighs. My one minor quibble – the handle is rather slim and slippy for whacking with. The heavy ball at the end gives it considerable angular momentum and it really wants to slip through your fingers. I loved it as a BDSM toy, it’s one of my  favourite and I tend to travel with it when I go away. When I’m allowed to choose some toys for someone to hit me with, I pick this one. It’s like a deep massage on your butt. For awhile this toy was lost and it took a far amount of restraint to not buy another one right away.

I used it as a g-spot toy and was surprised. I enjoy playing with toys and being stimulated but I tend not to do it enough. The g-pop worked perfectly and I found it easy to locate my g-spot with it, it would be great for beginners. You only need a small bit of lube since it’s stainless steel. I tended to roll it in instead of just pushing it in straight. Rolling it around with gentle thrusting was enough to have me orgasming.

The 1.5″ ball is stainless steel and is hollow inside, it’s coated with a beautiful red (deeper then in the picture) with a sparkle to it. The stainless steal rod is 11 3/4″ long with a rubber handle on it and a string that you can use to hang up. PG had an issue with the handle and slippage but I didn’t find that issue. I made sure not to get lube on my hand without wipping it off.

Cleaning is easy with putting it in the top shelf of your dishwasher, boiling (ball down) or using a bleach solution and the best part of having it made out of stainless steel is that you can use any lube.

I really fell in love with this toy, I love how it can be used for impact and g-spot play. Check out their other sex toys and BDSM toys.

Review: Ophoria’s Bliss 3 Mini

Ophoria Bliss #3 and case

Cute, little, surprising, smooth and black are the first words that come to mind when thinking of the Bliss 3 Mini Vibe in Noir (black) that Fascinations was kind enough to send me to review. The Bliss 3 Mini Vibe is five inches in length and about one and a half inches in diameter. It’s made from silicone and takes two AAA batteries, which are included. The power of this AAA battery-powered vibrator did surprise me, it’s more powerful than I thought.

The vibrator comes packaged in a black box where the Bliss sits, after opening it up you will find your batteries, black carrying case, one year warranty and an user manual. The body of the vibrator alternates between a smooth surface and one with deep noticeable

ridges. The silicone is smooth and firm, you can tell that it’s 100% silicone. The battery compartment is easy to access with a quick pull and twist. The on and off switch is a simple push button which activates nine different settings, three continuous, building and pulsating vibrations. To turn off, you simply hold down the button for five seconds.

Since it’s made from silicone, stick with water based lubricant. To sanitize, stick with a 10% bleach solution but you can also use soap or toy cleaner to clean. Be careful as it’s not waterproof and only splash proof.

I tried the Bliss #3 with PG and by myself. PG really liked it as it was sleek and easy for him to use. He turned it on and put it right by my clit before tying me to a bench for one of our scenes.  He liked it because I can take more pain with stimulation. We tried using it afterwards but I was more concerned about doing other things then using it. However, it will be a possible vibrator to pack for our scenes when he wants to tease me.

When I used the toy on my own, I enjoyed it. It’s a good warm up vibrator and I was able to bring myself to orgasm with it a few times however most of the time I used it for warm up. A disclaimer though, I do have a vertical clitoral hood piercing which I find makes orgasm easier. I’m not sure if I would have been able to orgasm with it before the piercing. Review: Raquel

VixSkin Raquel by Vixen Creations has become one of my favourite dildos. A pearly, shimmering pink shaft and white base invites you in, while the length (7.5 ” insertable) is long enough to play and fill you with. The base is fairly large which makes it perfect for anal play, harnesses (it may cause a problem with some) but the best part of the base is when you are using it on someone else, it provides a handle for solo and partner play.

One of my favourite things is that its made out of Vixskin, it’s soft, squishy and luxurious with a strong inner core to help keep its shape. It’s one of my favourite material that I love. It has the advantage of regular, firm silicone (easy to clean, non-porous and phthalate-free) but is wielding and oh so soft. I couldn’t help but squeeze it over and over again once I got it. It’s something that you should try. It not only feels great holding it but inside feels fleshy and allows you to really squeeze down on it.

For me, it worked for G-spot stimulation, when I was in the mood however it does require a lot of thrusting (which is never a bad thing). The base has a suction base which can be used but I did find it popping off when used vigorous.

The dildo comes packaged in a clear, plastic cylinder which makes it handy to store. The only downside I found was that it does pick up a lot of lint however it can be easily cleaned off. I’ve enjoyed the Raquel over the past couple of months and I think my other dildos are getting a bit jealous.

Review: Harmony Wireless Wonder Black (yin)

PG really enjoyed the Harmony Wireless Wonder, “like most males, I’m fascinated by invisible action at a distance. TV remotes, garage door openers, car alarm tweeters, they’re all good. (I’m even geeky enough to have soldered together a home-made radio control for an alarm when I was a teenager.) So it was with more than just erotic interest that I approached testing this remote control vibe.

We started by tying Alpine spread-eagled to the bed. Purely for science of course – we didn’t want thrashing to mar our careful study of the effects. After suitable foreplay with hands and implements, I began activating the unit. It’s got seven separate cycles, including one I loved but Alpine loved to hate: a quick rev up that excites her, then quickly drops away before she can cum – sort of like a series of surf waves that never let you catch a ride.

One downside is that there’s no feedback loop to the remote to tell you which cycle you’re on. However, it was usually pretty easy to tell, both from the sounds Alpine made, and from the sounds the vibe itself made. It’s audible enough, even when inside someone, that you wouldn’t be doing naughty things at the library with it. You could probably get away with it in a night club (and in the kind of clubs Alpine and I frequent, no one would be upset anyway…) The remote’s range is between two and four meters, BTW.

This unit could be used for public or private teasing, or for “skinnering” a pussy to response to other stimulus – activating it as you slap breasts for example.  All in all, it’s a toy with lots of potential.”

I did like the wireless bullet however I found it frustrating in some ways.  The battery life seemed to be really short. I’ve had to replace them twice since getting it and only a couple of play sessions out of it.  I’ve tried to keep track of how long they lasted but got a bit distracted. Another thing that PG mentioned is that it’s difficult to know what setting it’s on and sometimes it doesn’t register when you press the button. This happened when we were right beside each other or a couple of meters apart. It did work sometimes when we were in a separate room or through a door. It’s really difficult to find a good wireless bullet but so far this is the best one I’ve tried out despite the faults however it could be improved.

I did enjoy playing with it and having someone else have the controls (even when it put it on the setting that I didn’t like) It has 7 settings for you to explore. Three are straight vibrations (low, medium, high) and 4 separate patterns ( low to high rev, pulse, faster pulse, and a 3 short with one long pulse). The bullet is made out of ABS plastic and is can not be sanitized, if you want to share you can put it in a condom. The bullet is 3.5” long, diameter of 1 3/8” with a 3” plastic cord. It does take 3 N type batteries in the bullet and one 12V battery in the remote. There is an o-ring which keeps the toy waterproof, I had no issue cleaning the bullet or having any water seep in. You can clean it with soap and water, 10% bleach solution or with toy cleaner. I would advise not to use this for anal play.  I would give this toy a 3 out of 5. It could easily be a perfect toy if they could fix the above issues. For the current issues and the price, I think it’s a bit overpriced.

Review: Sprite Vibe

The Sprite Vibe is a cute, bullet vibrator made by Fun Factory. Normally, I tend to stay away from bullet vibrators but with the cute colours, silicone sleeve and the fact that it’s made by Fun Factory I couldn’t resist trying it out.

Generally bullet vibes don’t work for me, they are nice additions to making other toys vibrate but with using watch batteries and the lack of strength they are generally a miss for me. I was a bit hesitant when I received it but I wasn’t pleasantly surprised when I started to use it.

A quick disclosure; I do have a recent vertical clitoral hood piercing which does make clitoral orgasms easier and faster for now. To test the Sprite, I used some other bullet vibes that didn’t come close and to make sure it seems right. It’s not a love but I liked it.

The Sprite is a cute vibrator with flowers on it. It comes in two colours, blackberry and turquoise. The silicone matte sleeve is a nice addition to the bullet as it allows the vibrations to transmit and diffuse. You don’t have the same pin point vibrations that you do with typical bullets and the  buzz is diffused a bit but is still there.

Under the silicone sleeve is a white bullet that takes 3 watch batteries (LR44) and is made out of ABS plastic. The bullet has 3 speeds (a, b, c, off). The slowest speed is barely recognizable but the highest speed works well for me. The bullet has an o-ring which has been effective so far.

The Sprite vibe is a great beginner guide or for those that aren’t fans of strong vibrators (like the Hitachi) It’s small and compact which makes travelling with it easy or get for getting in the tight places during intercourse. You can sanitize the sleeve by boiling it in water for 3 minutes or along with the bullet wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution. Stay away from silicone lube but go crazy with water based. You can buy it at Babeland along with other vibrators.

Review: Thigh Harness

The thigh harness is a unique addition to my harness collection. When I first received it, it looked like a knee brace that I had to wear when I sprained my knee when I was a teenager. The thigh harness is by Sportsheets and is made from neoprene. It’s not attractive but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have lots of sexy fun.

One thing that is great for it is those times that you are simply exhausted but your partner still wants to keep going. PG and I tested it out after a hot scene where my sex drive was more than his that day. I asked him if I could strap it on his thigh and he agreed. After I was able to work my way on the dildo, I was able to move myself up and down while he was able to play with my breast and watch me get off.

The Leo, Goliath and Hank all fit in with no problem however the 02 couldn’t. The O-ring part is about 1.25″ diameter but I was able to fit a dildo that was 1.75″. It can fit dildo smaller than 1.25″ but I wouldn’t try anything less than 1″. Babeland says it fits up to a 21″ thigh. We had no problems with it and once the Velcro was strapped on, it held tight on us. I tried to try this out solo but I couldn’t get a pillow that it would work with.

The thigh harness would work well for those with disabilities or other medical conditions. It can be a way for you to get your partner off with limited movement.

The thigh harness would work in the water and easily cleaned by putting it on the gentle cycle in the washer (I aired dried it) or soap. It`s a versatile product and a way to spice up your sex life. It wont last forever but for the price, it can be easily replaced. Check out Babeland for your own.
