This week has been hectic with social activities along with a stressful week at work. I was planning on going to East side pride but wanted to escape the city, the noise and just get away. Since I couldn’t go to far away and still had to be in Vancouver on Sunday, I decided to head to a park in the next city over and enjoy what this area has to offer.
My friend D decided to join me as we headed off to the bridge and explored the area, hiked and had a picnic lunch. It was peaceful having uninterrupted time, not hearing dogs bark, sirens going off, people talking and leaving the city behind. It was a beautiful park with lots of trails to explore, places to climb and water to relax by. I stuck my foot in the water but it was freezing cold. However, on the warmer summer days, I’m sure it would be a welcomed treat.

I have to take the opportunity to take more of these mini trips out for myself. I’m spoiled by living here and don’t take advantage of it enough. It left me recharged and focused for everything else that goes on in life.
However, I won’t mind throwing some outdoor bondage into the mix on an outing. I just have to find a place that is more secluded.
