Last week, PG and I went to a hands on cutting workshop. I was delaying writing the post because I was waiting for photos. After talking about the design with each other, we settled on the infinity symbol for a variety of reasons. The next decision was where to place it. We decided on my right lower back because it needs to be hidden from work and some places where it won’t affect daily life.
Once we got to the workshop, I was extremely nervous. It hit me when we were in the car but I couldn’t shake it. It was a good type of giddy nervousness as this would be my first time being cut. Once everyone arrived, I became a bit more calm and PG was sweet enough to distract me by pulling my hair and calming me down.
All the safety was talk about, the technique and other things that are needed. We stencilled out the design and the cutting started. It was really intense while he was cutting and hurt quite a bit. I was getting sick but didn’t realize it till the next day and I’m not sure if it made it more so. When the scalpel cuts the skin, it’s a sharp and intense sensation.
Afterwards, I admire the photos that we took as I couldn’t see the design without mirrors or photos. We snuggled, chat and enjoyed the endorphins that were running around. Enough talking about it, a photo is below the cut.
