First impressions can be a bit deceiving. When I first saw the paddle, the furry red side appealed to me but I thought that it wouldn’t be able to give me the sensations that I truly love. Luckily it was able to provide the deep, impact sensations on the non-furry side and I actually enjoyed the furry side, it’s cute. 
The Fox Fur Paddle is a dual use paddle. The one side has a sharp, red colour fur. It’s nice to use as a warm up paddle or as a sensation for cool down. It would also make a good introductory toy for impact play for someone new. If they found out that they enjoyed it, they could move on to the non-fur side and enjoy a deeper, harder stroke. The leather side of the paddle doesn’t hurt when it’s used at a regular stroke. To me, it felt like a deep massage, which I really enjoyed. When it was used with full force by PG, it made me squirm but not in a way that came close to breaking me. It’s a great toy to warm up with and use in your scene. For all its slightly comic appearance, it’s solidly made, and delivers dual-sensation fun. If you’re in the mood for lighter, slap-and-tickle play, paddlings of a symbolic nature, or solid thumps with a dispersed, thuddy feel, pummel with the padded side. That delivers the sort of impact that women who like shock waves propagating through their butt cheeks to set their labia aflutter will love. If you want to achieve serious stinging, wail away with the unshielded side; it was quite capable of making Alpine, a hard core pain slut, squirm deliciously. With hindsight (based on using it on Alpine’s hind) I see in this paddle a metaphor for my own style as a Top: it’s cute, cuddly, approachable, and deceptively harmless looking, but capable of delivering lots of strong sensation when the need arises.”
The square, impact portion of the paddle is 6″ x 2.5″ with the total length being 12.5″. The leather is of good quality and comes with a plastic end at the end to seal it and encases the D-ring. The paddle has metal studs on the sides which secure the paddle together. The leather is a bit loose on the side but that’s only because it’s not glued on and the studs hold it all together. The paddle held up well and appears that it will last with proper care for a long time. A bit of a warning, be careful with bodily fluids. I use the 6 months isolation rule (I put the toy in the back for my closet for 6 months, labeled with the date of contact if it comes in contact with any fluids or if it might have). Leather and fur can be cleaned but can not be sterilized. There are medical grade cleaners that you can get for leather to sanitize it and kill germs. If you would like to know, comment and I’ll do a post on it. The preferred way would be to stay away from those intimate areas and blood or declare this paddle just for your use.
