Review: Under the Bed Restraints

I’ve wanted to try Under the Bed Restraints when I first saw them, I was intrigued  about the idea but I wasn’t sure if they were actually going to be effective.  When I’m in a bratty role, I move around a lot and like to struggle. I tested it out with PG and he had some thoughts about it. “We found this cuff and webbing set to be surprisingly and gratifyingly effective. Alpine is a veteran of all kinds of restraints, and in her more mischievous moods, a pretty expert escape artist. In order to insure she was truly motivated to free herself, I spread-eagled her face down on the bed, and proceeded to cane her hard over existing bruises from our previous night’s play. She thrashed and flailed, but the cuffs and webbing held. Likewise when we flipped her over and abused her breasts.

The luggage-style slide buckles on the webbing straps allows quick and easy tightening and loosening to fit different beds and/or bedmates. We like the ease of application of the cuffs (we’re both big fans of rope bondage, but it takes some skill and a bit of time to tie and untie). One minor mod we’d make: the cuffs are one-size-fits-most, all four the same, with no separate ankle and wrist cuffs. This means that on most wrists, there’s a fair bit of surplus Velcro strip left over and waving about. We’d suggest trimming the excess Velcro with scissors once you’ve sized the cuffs to your partner, and singeing the cut ends with a lighter to prevent them fraying.

Being able to quickly convert any bed for bondage will be hugely appealing to kinksters on the road; the whole set-up will slip discretely into a corner pocket of your suitcase. It will also be great for perverted parents who need to be able to completely sanitize their room from the prying eyes of their kids (or their own parents). We give this set two bums up.”

The Under the Bed Restraints are easy to install. After lifting up the mattress, all you do is lie it across the box string and drap the lengths across. Then you put the mattress down and your ready to go. For the perspective of the receiver, the cuffs are pretty comfortable. They aren’t high-end like leather but they suit the purpose of being portable and comfortable. I could see myself bringing these on trips as they allow the restriction you need while not damaging any hotel property.I’m also keeping them permanently under my bed for quick use but for those who need to be discreet, it’s an easy way to  incorporate kink into your life without the need for expensive equuipment.
