Review: Sensuous Soak Kit

After a month of recovering, the sensuous soak kit came just in time. Babeland use to carry it a couple of weeks ago but it looks like it no longer exist. That’s a shame as it worked perfectly for me and allowed us to have a wonderful date night.

The kit comes package in a pink Babeland bag with a Body Spa Body Sponge, Aqua Erotica ( a waterproof erotica book), JimmyJane Afterglow Candle, and Babeland Bubble Bath. I love the presentation of the kit. It would make a perfect gift for a friend and I couldn’t help but thinking about ordering one for a new mother that I know.

My sensual night started out with both of us needing some TLC. We decided to take a bath together and had some fun with the vibrating sponge. It couldn’t be used on me below due to the mishap but we both had some fun running the sponge over each other and massaging each other with it. I didn’t believe that the bullet in the sponge would last but wanted to test it. After taking the bath though, the bullet was soaked with water. I dried it out and let the batteries and the inside of the bullet dry but unfortunately after that, the bullet wouldn’t turn on and off without taking out the batteries. It was still worth it though and the sponge has come in handy for our bath time fun.

One thing we used to enhance the bath was using some of the bubble bath which was in the afternoon delight scent. The scent was light, clean, fresh and most importately uni-sex scent. It worked perfectly when we were scrubbing each other down and also for bubble bath alone. I love sitting in the tub, relaxing and letting the bubbles carry away any tension from the day.

We didn’t get a chance to review the book or candle that evening but on a private night alone, I took Aqua Erotica to the bath for me. I was worried that I might damage it but the pages are truly waterproof and after it dried, I couldn’t tell that it was just in the tub with me. It contains 18 pages of a variety of stories that put me in the mood for some self love later.

My favourite was the Jimmy Jane Afterglow Candle in cucumber water scent. I love Jimmy Jane and their attention to detail. The candle comes packaged in a box that opens up to a pink backdrop and the words MELT ME. How could I not?  It even comes with a box of matches that will last you longer then the candle. The Afterglow candles take about 30 minutes to burn in order to have enough wax for a massage. It comes with a little brush to rub all over your partner. We love exchanging massages together and the wax was well suited. The wax goes on smoothly and rubs into the skin. It does feel a bit waxy but nothing off-putting. The scent fills the room and is not overly strong to ruin the mood.

The Sensuous Soak Kit was just right for me and brought us more then one night of taking it easy and sensual. I really hope that Babeland brings it back. In the mean time, Babeland has the Sensory Set M which looks like something that would be perfect for a night of pampering or pick up a new vibrator and dildo.
