Casual reading is always a pleasure for me. Unfortunately, most of my time spent reading is studying business and learning about accounting. I don’t have as much time as I like to read for pleasure. Babeland was kind enough to send me X: The Erotic Treasury to give the reading break that I desire and needed.

X: The Erotic TreasuryOnce it arrived, I was simply blown away with the packaging and cover. I know you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but the velvety, rich red surface of the book begged to be touch after sliding it out of the hard slip-cover with an X cut out of the front. I’ve never seen an erotica book that was packaged quite like this. Susie Bright and Chronicle books have create something new in the erotica market. I’m a fan and hope that this is one of the many first.

Once your able to move inside the book, you find 40 well-written stories. Susie Bright did a wonderful job of picking out a wide variety of stories and editing X. All the stories are well written and explore various themes and subjects including some rather taboo ones. Not all the stories turned me on sexually but the majority of them stimulated my mind.

I enjoyed the fact that I never knew what story I would be reading as I flipped the pages of X: The Erotic Treasury.  “Cold Ass Ice” is only a couple of pages long but it’s a quick adventure with ice and the foreplay that goes along with it. “Red Light, Green Light” is a story that had me putting down the book to take a much needed release break. It’s about a couple in Amsterdam a fun, hot game in the red light district. My favourite story was “Full Metal Corset” who discovers a co-worker wearing a very unique and painful corset. You’ll have to read the rest to find out.

Overall, I enjoyed X: The Erotic Treasury but it wasn’t as erotic as I thought it would be.Every story is well written and it’s a great collection to own. However, it wasn’t the erotica I was expecting, which is a good thing.

Thank you Babeland for the opportunity to get lost in erotica again. Check out Babeland.com for your own copy of X:The Erotic Treasury.
