Variety is important in all aspects of life and even more important with BDSM. I love bondage and even more so rope. But what gets me right in the mood is hemp rope. As soon as it’s placed on my skin, I immediately start get into that head space.
It’s the smell of it, the feeling of it on my skin, the way it ties, the rope marks, the look, it’s all beautiful to me. I recently got some Bavarian Blonde 4 strand hemp and after playing with it over the past month (Twisted Monk), I can clearly tell the difference as soon as it touches my skin. I was surprised about the difference between 3 and 4 strand. Hemp is hemp right? Unfortunately not and it’s all in the type of rope and how it’s conditioned. Bavarian Blonde is unique, it’s softer, has a unique straw smell and tighter strands.
This came up with a conversation with a friend, we were talking about the different kinds of rope and it came up that I’m a bit of a rope snob. I’ve been thinking about this the past couple of days about how I love hemp. I guess some might see it that way but I view it as that I simply found something that I love using and experiencing the sensation and feel of. It comforts me, takes me to new highs and pleasure and allows me to feel the rope and expand.
I enjoy getting tied up with anything but if I have the choice, I would choose hemp. What would you choose?
