There has been a bit of a reaction, whether it was timing or for whatever reason you would like to cite in the blogger community. I have my views on it but I’m going to keep this quiet for now. I really don’t like the drama that this has caused and it’s been draining reading about this.
I recently helped a friend shop for sex toys and it reminded me of a couple of reasons why I review. I’ve learned a lot about sex toys, since I started. I’ve been playing with toys since my teenage years but I really wasn’t exposed to it until the past few years. I knew certain materials were harmful but if you ever asked me to list them I would be clueless. I don’t review jelly toys but I make sure to mention different safety things to consider with the toys I review. Besides the safety aspect, I love learning new things and being able to share my knowledge of what I know. My friends and strangers have asked me for advice and I’m more then happy to suggest or recommend things that I think they would like. The most rewarding thing was recently when a friend loved the gifts that he picked out for his partner birthday. It was the happiness in his voice and thanks that put a smile on my face. Even if it only helps a couple of people love/kink life, I’m happy that I can.
Of course, there is my own pleasure and quest to experiment but this touched me on a whole new level. I guess this is the sweet part of reviewing that I sometimes forget.
