Review: Lubricant Toko Aroma Champagne/Strawberry

I love my lube and lotions and because of that I’m always a bit wary about trying new ones however the Toko Aroma lubricant is a new favourite of mine and I’m planning on replenishing it and making it a stable by my bedside.

The Toko Aroma Formula comes in a variety of flavours including Blazing Cherry, Exotic Fruit, Melon Mango, Tangerine Cream, Sensual Grapes, Champagne/Strawberry and they also carry a Silicone lube and a non-flavoured water-based Aqua lube. I was lucky enough to receive the Champagne / Stawberry flavour, which suits my taste perfectly.

The Toko Aroma comes packaged in 5.5  oz clear plastic bottled with a black flip-top cap and a Japanese erotic drawing in the background. It’s a water-based lubricant which makes it perfectly safe for all your silicone sex toys, condoms, and anything else that you desire.  I love water-based lubricants, like with the Toko Aroma because you can spill it, get completely messy and it won’t leave behind any residue and it’s easy to clean.

The Champagne/Strawberry flavor is a bit strong but tasty, when tasted directly. After testing it out with a partner and having the lubricant applied to skin, the taste is more subdued though. The Champagne/Strawberry leaves a pleasent taste of strawberries in your mouth and left my room with filled with the aroma of them. One thing that I hate about most flavoured lubricants is the after taste that is left in your mouth afterwards, thankfully though, it doesn’t leave any behind.

One of the most important thing is how it performs. The Toko Aroma Lubricant is fairly thin but has a slicker texture then other water-based lubes. I didn’t need to reapply it during play with partners or with toys but results may vary. I found that the Toko Aroma mixed well with my own lubricants and didn’t leave  any sticky residue on me. However after using it on toys, it did leave a slight residue behind but that was easily wiped off.

The Toko Aroma Champagne/Strawberry does contain glycerin which can be problematic to some people but I’ve personally have never had a reaction to it. As well, my close friend, who is prone to yeast infections, has used this brand before and never reacted to it. The bottled does claim that it is sugar free however after checking the ingrediants I noticed that it was in fact listed.

I love being able to find  a flavoured lubricants that I love, as it adds to the experience with my partner. Also, I don’t have to worry about when I perm oral a bad aftertaste. Pick it up and share your experience with it, I would love to hear about it.
