November in Vancouver means rain, rain and more rain. Once you think that you have had enough, the weather tends to ease up but then drops more on you. It’s part of living on the Pacific Northwest.I find that you get more and more use to as each year passes. However that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t get to you. That is why this time of year, I go into a bit of an isolating state for a week or so until I adjust to the weather and having darkness before dinner. That is part of it however something else made this feeling more intense then I’m use to.
I can proudly say that I have officially quit smoking and have been smoke free for several days. I’m not keeping track of the number of days. For me, it’s thinking that I don’t need it and now my body isn’t craving it. It’s pretty amazing, the first week was the toughest but I’m over the hump. This is one of hardest self-inflicted thing that I’ve done but I feel empowered. For those that haven’t smoked or haven’t tried quitting, I can’t describe how hard it is but what I can say it’s worth it. To me the success is not being dependent on them. Tough it out for the first bit, have lots of kinky fun, keep yourself distracted and use something whether its the patch, gum or medication. I won’t go on and on about smoking or quitting but the final thing I want to say is that you have to be ready and quit for yourself. No one can make you or do this for you. I had a lot of people who tried to get me to quit or wanted me to and I tried. However, it took a turning point in my own life to be ready for the battle. When its time you or the person you love will know.
On other things, I had a sexy Halloween and post play and some pretty exciting news but it looks like I’ll be making a major change soon. I have to wait till it’s 100% official but once it’s completed and everything is settled. I’ll be much happier and will be posting about it.
